Packaging Turned Storage

I was at the post office this morning mailing a package to my sister and remembered a Pinterest pin I pinned and picked up five of these free Priority mailing boxes.

Here they are just made into boxes using the provided pre-adhered tape and folding over the flaps.  I then proceeded to cut out one of the long sides on each box.  The short side is not wide enough for 12 inch scrapbooking paper (only 11 and 3/4 inches).  It worked out though because my shelves aren't deep enough to house the boxes the long way anyway.

Here is all the paper and stuff I want housed in its new home.

This was my start time.

Here are the tools I used.  Love my Tim Holtz Non Stick Serrated Snip Scissors-Ergonomic Large Loop Handles.  Cuts through cardboard like butter.

And here is the finished product.  I taped the "shelves" together where they met in the front.  I also taped the top and bottom edges for consistency and the back corners top to bottom so the boxes themselves would not flop around.

Time finished.

Yay for more shelf space!

Thanks Pinterest.  I still <3 you.
